Handmade Sourdough Bread

In addition to fresh vegetables, we offer bread available once a week through pre-order! Bread is fresh and baked the same day as pick up.

Sourdough bread has proven to have great health benefits as a fermented food that has been eaten for centuries. Our sourdough is made with unbleached flour grown in Napoli, Italy. A plain loaf includes only flour, salt and water. Neither the flour nor salt include any additives. Basic ingredients can create the most delicious foods!

How it works

On Thursdays of each week, we have a “bread drop” through Hotplate where the menu drops and orders open for the week. Orders can be placed through the link below:

The order window closes on Sunday afternoon, which is when our sourdough starter is fed and first steps of making the bread begin! The process of making sourdough takes a few days so orders must be placed in advance.

On Tuesday all bread orders are baked fresh after an overnight fermentation. After cooling, bread is placed out in the farmstand and labeled for pick up.

FAQs

Can I order other days of the week?

Unfortunately we often don’t have the capacity to bake additional days of the week with all the other farm tasks going on! If you have a large order you’re interested in placing for a different day, you can reach out at least a week in advance and I will see what we can do!

Why do I have to pre-order/order so far in advance?

Sourdough baking requires a long fermentation process, so it’s not possible to bake it without advance notice.

How does pick up work?

Your bread will be out in the farmstand and labeled with your name once the pick up window opens.

Can I receive reminders?

Yes! I highly recommend signing up for texts through hotplate. It will only send you texts regarding the menu drop for the week and updates on your orders. This will ensure you remember when it’s time to order and remind you to pick up your fresh bread.
